Red-tail New Issue 61 December 2025

Summer rains have given newly planted food trees a strong start. In this edition, we celebrate the incredible efforts of many organisations that helped plant more than 35,000 food trees for the South-eastern Red-tailed Black-Cockatoo in 2025.

Red-tail News Edition 61 highlights the vital role community sighting reports play in supporting the recovery of the South-eastern Red-tailed Black Cockatoo. Learn how these sightings inform monitoring, explore new and improved ways to report observations, and check out upcoming opportunities to get involved. This edition also welcomes new Chair Bronwyn Perryman, thanks VJ for her years of service, celebrates an outstanding year of habitat planting, and farewells two valued recovery team members whose contributions will be remembered with gratitude.
